Ruth's Log
19 Oct 2005  by Ruth Bjorkman

Today I got up at 7:00am and after eating breakfast with my family I headed out to feed our horses.  I rode my horse Daisey about 2 miles to my brothers cabin spot and helped him assemble the logs.  We first poured preservative in the groves and notches then stuffed them with insulation.  We hoisted the logs up with our dad’s backhoe then rolled them into place.  Dad and Jess arrived just after we got the first log in.  Daisey was lonely without her friends but very interested in our progress.  We had the rest of the logs in by noontime and headed back for lunch.  I rode my horse of course.
